The reality is, as designers we aren’t swanning around showrooms and zhuzh-ing cushions all day long. We spend A LOT of time in-front of a screen. We create our design concepts digitally, source our suppliers and even find inspiration online. The tools we use to design and run our business are so important to working efficiently and professionally. Computer software is always changing, and we have tried most of the programs out there. This session gives you an introduction on software to design and present your concepts, from 3D visualisations and 2D documentation, to creating a polished design concept that will impress your clients. We also explore software to run your business including software to send design proposals to your client, creating purchase orders, managing supplier details and invoicing software. No more excel spreadsheets!
Each software is demonstrated on a screen and open to discussion. We have some exciting programs that we know will change the way you run your business, as they have changed ours.

**Special focus will be on ‘IVY’ interior design software, being one of the first in Australia to adopt this, it has streamlined & changed our design work flow!

IVY software has been the talk of the town, here’s your chance to see it. We will give a live demonstration /walkthrough**


WHAT YOU LEARN:

  • How to spend more time on design, and less time managing it all.

  • Software to use for client presentations, documentation, scheduling, ordering, managing your time, invoicing, client interface, marketing and more!

  • A demonstration of most of the software discussed to understand the capabilities, however there is not enough time to learn how to use each one.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

  • One months access to the Sessions Facebook Group where you can ‘ask me anything’

  • Wine (let’s get creative!), and complementary all day tea and refreshments from our apartment kitchen. BYO lunch is essential.

Please Note: This event requires a minimum to run. If we do not meet this minimum amount, the event will not run and all paid ticket holders at that point will be fully refunded.

 

FAQs

What can I bring into the event?.

  1. A lap-top or ipad and charger cords. There is limited access to a computer in the studio, first in, best-dressed.

  2. Note pad, you will want to take lots of notes. No notes for this session are provided.

  3. If you use an incredible software that you love to use, please share with the group!

What's the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable. Please double, triple check your dates and make arrangements prior to purchasing tickets. Names on tickets are transferable up to 7 days prior to the event. Please contact us via email studio@sisalla.com.au for assistance.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Not to worry, we can tick off your name.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We are located near the Prahran Market where there is a carpark you can park for the day, check their fees. The Chapel Street tram comes past, we are near the Commercial Road intersection. Walking distance to Prahran or Hawksburn Station. Advice not to park on the streets nearby as parking inspectors are everywhere!
